King and I

"It was a hit," described many people that attended the broadway musical, The King and I.  Over 130 CA students participated in the play, including actors, singers, and muscians.  Students performed four shows: September 30, October 1, 4, and 5, at 7:00p.m. in the Collegedale Academy Auditorium.   Proceeds from the shows benefited the Music and Art departments.  Anna was played by junior, Morgan Aumack and the King was played by senior, Josh Farnsworth.

"I was very impressed with the students that performed from the little ones that played the children to Aumack and Farnsworth who played the King and Anna.  The orchestra did great as well!  They went above and beyond," said vice principal Travis Crawford.

In only 6 weeks into the school year, CA and AWS students practiced, learned music, learned new dances, made props, and then performed 4 evening shows!  It was a success!  Hope you can come to CA's future musicals!
